When I was little, my dad told me that our dogs were my siblings. When I said they didn't speak the same language, he said I needed to listen not with my ears but with my heart.

My process starts with photographic snapshots that showcase my subject's personality. I edit them on the computer. Once I have an image that I like, I draw it on canvas and paint with acrylics.

Literally, my life has gone to the dogs and I wouldn't want it any other way. I live with them and work with them. And, in my time off, I hang out with them. They truly have my heart.
